My Latest Read...

So I finished a book this weekend, technically Friday, which I believe I read in record time. I am not the fastest book reader but if you guys remember my post from some time ago when I went on and on about "Marley & Me" (my all-time favorite book); you probably realize that I am a sucker for a good dog book.

So, last week I found myself at the Starbuck's by my office, getting my routine "Venti Passion Tea, unsweetened, over ice". Of course while they make your antidote, you can browse the "please buy me shelf". Which for the record, they scored two off of me last week, but I will save that.

The Starbuck's book of the week/month/or whenever they want to change it out, was the one pictured above. Of course the clever little dog on the front immediately caught my attention and I picked it up.

The most interesting part about this book is that it is narrated by the dog. Here is the description of the book; I couldn't possibly describe it any better than this:

I tell you, the book was outstanding! Especially if you are an animal lover and believe that your dog/cat is more human that some people you know. It would also be very appealing to a race car fan...if you have time to check it out; by all means.

As a side note - the other purchase that I made from Starbuck's (they are so clever). Most know that any chilled beverage from Starbuck's comes in a clear plastic cup. I happen to love these cups and tend to reuse my Starbucks cup all day. Well, they now make a hard plastic one that looks just like it, with a hard plastic green straw and a clear plastic screw on lid. Ridiculous, but I must say it's my new favorite cup.
