We have decided that the moving is inevitable considering we are out of space. I am not sure how we acquired so much stuff in the last year that 1100 square feet is no longer enough, but it happened; and we aren’t even packrats!
So we began our search for homes for rent, then we decided that by the time we pay 2 months rent up front at $2500, plus added in $25 a month per pet for a pet fee...it's time to consider buying again.
So we are currently in the search for the perfect home. It's been a week, frustration has already begun. The mortgage process alone is so overwhelming. Luckily we finally found Watson and they have been so awesome to work with. Not to mention that at least the prices are pleasant. Hopefully we can buy and the market will sky rocket again…every homeowners dream.
We are currently looking in the World Golf Village area which we both really like. The only downside is the commute to work for James, for me it is somewhat close. Then again, considering his job, it’s tough to base your purchase decisions on where he works, as it can change in the blink of an eye.
Both of our companies are “Going Green”. His company is trying to place people at jobs that are close to their homes, and my job is allowing us to work from home one day a week starting in October…hopefully these combined will be helpful. I dare not hope for fuel prices to decline and help everyone; we all know the probabilities when putting your eggs in that basket.
All in all, we will no longer be in apartment land after October, so there is a silver lining to all of this...even if we don't buy.
Beyond that all is well…keep your fingers crossed that we find what we are looking for, or of nothing else, that we don’t go postal in the process.
